Tamil OCR

ICFOSS developed an Optical Character Recognition system inorder to extract text from images, pdf and from other non editable documents. This system also helps to edit or make necessary corrections for the above mentioned particulars.

Based on the Tesseract OCR engine.
Languages: English + Tamil (Bilingual OCR)
Input file formats: JPEG, TIFF, PDF, PNG
Output file format: plain text (TXT)
Processing time is directly proportional to the number of pages in the file and the size of the file
Download as a text file
Text field can be edited

How to use...

Browse a file and then click the "Upload" button.
Click the "Convert" button.
Click the "Preview" button to view the uploaded file.
Click the "Clear" button to reset the page.
Extracted data is displayed in the text area below.
An option to download data as .odt, .txt and .doc is provided.
After selecting the option, you can download the data by clicking on the "Download" button.
